Write a ReviewI popped into Park Coffee recently on a lazy Saturday morning. It's tucked away in Yokine, which feels like a cozy neighborhood gem. The place was buzzing a bit, but the vibe was laid-back and welcoming. I noticed they have a wheelchair-accessible entrance and parking, which is something you don't see everywhere. Definitely makes it more inclusive for everyone.
They've got pretty specific hours, so it's worth checking before you head over. They're open early at 7 a.m. on the weekends and do a little afternoon session from 3-5 p.m. Most cafes might close after the morning rush, so it's nice they've got this little afternoon window. I can picture it being the perfect spot for an after-school break.
The coffee here is top-notch. I'm talking smooth, bold, and just the right temperature. Beats some of the other spots I've tried around Perth. They've nailed it with their brews. And for a canine fan like me, having the dogs allowed makes it even more inviting. Seeing pups lounging next to their humans adds charm to the place.
Service was solid. The staff seemed genuinely friendly and eager to make sure everything's alright. It kind of feels like a place where you could get to know the baristas if you pop in regularly.
The thing about Park Coffee that stands out is how chill the place feels. It's not trying too hard to impress, but everything's done right. From the neat tables outside to the simplicity inside. It's just got that neighborhood coffee shop feel, you know?
Yokine isn't all hustle and bustle—it's a bit tucked away compared to the city center. If you're in the area, there's a few spots worth checking out after your coffee. Yokine Reserve is nearby, a great green spot to take a walk or kick a footy. If you've got kids, they'd love the playground there. It's just about enjoying the basics of a good morning.
Around the corner, you could explore a bit. There's some local shops and food joints. Nothing super flashy, but it's these little places that make the area feel homey. It's a change of pace from the busy city scene, that's for sure.
Back to the cafe, the menu, while not overwhelming, has just enough choice. They've got the usual suspects: flat whites, cappuccinos, and long blacks. They also do takeaway and delivery, which is a win if you're keen to enjoy that cup of joe at home. Didn't notice any fancy matcha or chai options, but I honestly didn't miss it with how good the coffee is.
It's sweet when a place offers exactly what you need. Whether that's a grab-and-go kind of brekky or a sit-down espresso with your best mate (human or furry). I tried the croissant which was fresh, warm, and flaky. Didn't get a chance to try their muffins, but they looked decent.
If you appreciate a simple, quality coffee experience, Park Coffee does it well. Not that it's dripping in trendiness or trying to reinvent the wheel. But isn't that the charm of a great local coffee spot?
Parking was easy since they've got their own space. That's often a headache at other cafes, but not here. Made the morning go smooth as, especially since I'm not a fan of circling the block just for a spot.
I spent a good hour just people-watching, sipping my coffee, and chilling. Met a couple of locals who said this place constantly serves up some of the best brews in the area. With a 4.7-star rating from 26 reviews, it's hard to argue with them.
I'd say if you're in the neighborhood, or even just passing through, make the stop at Park Coffee. Check out the area, soak in the local scene, and enjoy a standout coffee without any fuss.
Their simple approach makes the coffee shop feel like it's yours. It's a welcome break from the big city chain vibe. So, for a great cup close to Yokine's local spots, this is your go-to.
