Nestled on Harborne Street in Wembley, Modus Coffee is a real gem for coffee lovers. You wouldn't guess it at first, but there's something special about this spot. The vibe here feels relaxed and inviting. The place isn't just pretending to be hip; it genuinely has a laid-back charm. I've been around Perth's coffee scene a bit, and Modus Coffee just feels right.

First things first, their opening hours are a win for early birds like me. Open by 6:30 am from Monday to Friday, and a bit later on weekends. There's plenty of time to grab a coffee before heading off to start your day. They close up shop by 2 pm, which means it's perfect for breakfast or an early lunch. The all-week access is pretty handy.

The coffee is the real star at Modus. It's one of those spots where you can actually taste the care they put into every cup. They don't just slap together a brew and call it a day. You get a smooth and strong coffee that refreshes you instantly. As a regular, that keeps me coming back over and over. The passion behind their brews shows, and for a coffee lover, that's gold.

Decided to bring my dog once, and thankfully they're dog-friendly. Not every place lets me sip my coffee with my furry friend beside me, so that's a big plus in my book. It's these small things that make Modus a comfy stopover. Plus, they have accessible features too, including a wheelchair-accessible entrance and toilets. They are also supportive of all genders with their gender-neutral toilets, which is nice for inclusivity.

What else is cool about Modus Coffee? They roll with the times and offer different options like in-store pick-up, takeaway, dine-in, and even delivery. You've got plenty of ways to get your fix, especially when you're in a rush or just want to chill. Some days, I just take a quick brekkie while others I'll sit for a while, take in the surroundings, and let the morning laziness stretch a little longer.

Beyond Modus, Wembley has a good mix of things to do. There's the sprawling Lake Monger, not far off. Spend a sunny afternoon strolling around this serene spot. You can spot plenty of local birds, and a walk around there is kind of meditative. It's not just about the lake either. Wembley has a variety of shops, and eateries, and offers a quieter side of Perth, away from the hustle and bustle.

For a quick pop, the Floreat Forum is a quick drive away. It's a good-sized shopping center if you need to grab some essentials after your caffeine fix. They've got a nice selection of stores and a few other cafes if you feel like hopping spots. Though, to be honest, once I'm at Modus, I'm pretty happy.

Returning to the coffee shop, they're rated well, with loads of reviews backing up their great service and product. An average rating of 4.3 speaks for itself. The staff there is frontline friendly. They know their stuff but aren't snooty about it. Got a question? They're happy to chat and help out, which is a lot more than I can say for some other places.

Parking is straightforward — no crazy navigation around tight corners or solving the mystery of an obscure entrance. There's a wheelchair-accessible car park too, a thoughtful addition. All about making the experience as seamless as possible, you know?

One thing I've noticed is that people from all walks of life pop by Modus. You've got your standard mix: students, professionals, the occasional wandering tourist or local explorer like me. The atmosphere is always welcoming and warm, which is kind of key. Especially if you're coming solo or with just a mate.

If you're someone who likes adding a sprinkle of variety to life, the surrounding area does have its fair share of culinary delights. In fact, Wembley is quietly known for its food spots that cater to all sorts of tastes. Whether you're craving Asian eats, Mediterranean spice, or just a plain ol' Aussie pie from a nearby bakery, you'll find it.

Back to Modus Coffee, the fact they add same-day delivery as part of their service shows they're switching things up. Doesn't matter if it's a cozy day indoors—they make sure coffee is just a call away. For a regular, it's like having your wish granted.

All in all, if you find yourself around Wembley and haven't dropped by Modus yet, you're missing out. There's something comforting about a familiar coffee spot that meets nearly all your needs. The welcoming staff, the rich aroma wafting through the air, and the unique character of the place definitely earn a spot in my heart.
