Yours Truly in Subiaco has quickly become one of my favorite spots for a coffee fix. They welcome you with a cozy vibe and friendly faces. Located on Hay Street, it's just a short stroll from Rokeby Road where you can find various shops and boutiques. I find the mix of shoppers and regulars here quite fascinating.

Popping into Yours Truly on a weekday morning is a great start to any day. They open at 6 am, which fits well with my morning routine. Their coffee is smooth and consistently well-crafted. I'm not the biggest fan of burnt aftertastes, so they've got my seal of approval. If you're into brunch, you'll love their menu. It's not extensive, but every dish feels well thought out.

I have a soft spot for places that offer outdoor seating. Yours Truly scores big here. The outdoor space is perfect on days with sunshine, and you can even bring your dog along. Seeing a well-behaved pup under the tables adds charm to the place. For those with accessibility needs, the entrance and seating cater to wheelchairs which makes the cafe a more inclusive space.

On my last visit, I tried their avocado toast—it's up there with the best I've had. It's not gourmet, but it is tasty and satisfying. I paired it with a flat white, my go-to coffee choice, and was pleased with the balance.

One thing I like is their simple, modern decor. It's not over the top but has a modern coffee shop vibe. It makes the place feel inviting and not too stuffy. The staff are pretty laid back and chatty without being intrusive. They make you feel like you belong there, even if it's your first time.

If you're planning to visit Subiaco Oval or Kings Park later, dropping by for a coffee is a perfect plan. A refreshing walk through Kings Park is always enhanced after a caffeine kick. This location is also ideal if you have other tasks—Subiaco's supermarkets and pharmacies are all nearby.

I usually find parking in Subiaco a bit tricky, but it's not impossible. There are paid parking spots along the street, or you might just get lucky finding a free one. Public transport is also a viable option. The Subiaco train station is not too far off either, making it easy for those who prefer not to drive.

It's hard for me to say too much about their website because it's basically an Instagram page. I think it does the job, though. You get a feel for their style from the posts, even if you don't get all information upfront.

The hours are convenient for morning visits, but if you're a weekend coffee adventurer, note they're closed Sundays and close 3 pm other days. I figure they know their peak hours, and it keeps the vibe laid back.

Last time, I saw a small group with a toddler, and they managed well. The highchairs and clean toilets made it easy for them. That's a small itch scratched for families, I guess.

Yours Truly doesn't have the hustle and bustle of larger places which I like. You get your coffee, maybe a little chatter if you're up for it, and that feeling you can just be. The cafe is one of those rare spots where you can unwind even if just for a moment before university or work. In a city that often feels busy, this is a little pocket of calm. That's a golden find for me in a coffee shop.

Their current review rating averages 4.7 stars out of 5, which seems right. People appreciate quality, and it shows in such ratings. Although, like anywhere, your experience can be hit or miss based on your timing or preferences.

If you're exploring Perth or are a local in the area, Yours Truly is a great coffee stop. Have a little sit-down if time allows, grab a takeaway if not. Either way, it's worth the visit. Regular customers and newcomers alike all seem to walk out of there a little happier than when they came in.
