I've been to Dome Subiaco more times than I can count. It's a spot that feels like it's just part of the landscape here in Perth. You find it on Rokeby Road in Subiaco, easily spotted because it usually has a buzz around it. The energy here is always upbeat, whether it's early morning or late in the evening.

Coffee at Dome Subiaco hits the spot every time. They know what they're doing with a flat white or a cappuccino. The baristas get it right — not too bitter, not too weak. I usually grab a latte first thing in the morning when I'm trying to kickstart my day. They open really early, at 6 am every day, which is great for us early-risers. During a sunny day, sitting outside is perfect.

This place is more than just coffee though. After my caffeine fix, I often get tempted by their brunch options, which make it hard to leave. There's something comforting about their brekkie menu. The usual go-to for me is their big breakfast. It's a classic, done well. The eggs are spot on and you won't leave hungry.

Sometimes, I just need a place to relax and use free Wi-Fi. They've got it here, which is handy for catching up on emails or social media. It's also wheelchair-friendly throughout, from the car park to the seating. These things matter, and they've made an effort.

Dome Subiaco is dog-friendly, which I love. You might see me with my dog parked outside, us both enjoying some time out. Dogs get fresh water, so they're thought of too. If you're like me, and can't leave your pooch behind, it's a nice add-on.

If the atmosphere inside gets too crowded, the outdoor seating is a bonus. Weekends are busy, naturally, but I think that's part of the charm. There's always something happening in Subiaco, from live music events to shopping. Domain Stadium isn't far if you're catching a game. Kings Park is nearby too, a great spot for a stroll to clear the mind.

Subiaco as a suburb has a mix of boutiques and larger stores. If you get a break in your day, it's worth wandering around. The Subiaco Farmers Market is always a treat. If you're here on a Saturday morning, it's worth checking out.

After spending time at Dome Subiaco, I usually roam the streets, maybe head over to some local art galleries or the theatre. It's an area full of mini-adventures, from the scenic to culinary. It's this whole vibe of being in a lively part of Perth, teeming with stories and a very community-driven spirit.

The staff are a friendly bunch. They always seem to have a smile, even when it's busy. It's just genuine and makes coming back a sure thing. When I want takeaway, they pack everything neatly; nothing ever spills on the ride home. They do delivery too, which is handy for lazy days.

Having a bar on site is a nice touch if you fancy something stronger than a coffee. It's a chill spot in the afternoons when I drop by with friends. The sound of glasses clinking over quick banter makes it feel neighborly.

Even if I didn't live in Perth, Dome Subiaco would be on my visit-list. If you are visiting, pop in. The overall experience is just comforting as their brews. It's all these little aspects coming together — the food, the service, the vibe — that keep me coming back. Talking about it reminds me of how I'm due for another visit soon.

Subiaco has kept its charm with spots like Dome holding a steady presence. The blend of good coffee and a friendly setting is simple but everything you'd want. If trying out new coffee spots is your jam, add this to your list. Whether you're a solo visitor or have company, it's a place to be when in Perth.
