Callover Cafe is a little treasure nestled in the heart of Perth. It's my usual spot for a caffeine fix. For starters, their coffee hits the spot every single time. The aroma greets you even before you step in, just down the road from Barrack Street Jetty. It's smack in the middle of some of Perth's best views and close to the Swan River, which is a bonus.

Their service is quick and friendly, which makes it ideal for my busy mornings. I just love how the staff remembers regulars like me. It adds a homey touch. The place is cozy yet modern, not too big, but it gets the job done. Tables are spaced well enough, so you never feel cramped even when it's buzzing.

Now, about the seating – it's wheelchair accessible, which is a huge plus. They cater to everyone and that speaks volumes. Dogs are welcome too, so you might even make a furry friend while sipping a latte. If you like chilling with your dog, this spot is just perfect.

You can only sample their offerings on weekdays though, which is a minor bummer if you're a weekend coffee seeker. They open at 6:30 am and close at 2 pm; except Fridays when they shut up shop a tad earlier at 1:30. But no worries, this works out just fine if you work in the area or are visiting nearby attractions during weekday trips.

Food here is worth mentioning too. I'm a sucker for their freshly made brunch options. I mean, who can say no to a good avocado smash or an eggs benny done right? Plus, it's not just eat-in; they have takeaway and delivery to keep things easy. Whether you grab a muffin for the go or linger for a while over pancakes, you won't leave disappointed.

Their menu is simple, but everything is made with care, and the flavors speak for themselves. Once, I took a chai latte with a mushroom wrap when I was on the way to Elizabeth Quay. Walking by the water with something yummy in hand is just ace.

Speaking of Elizabeth Quay, it's just a short stroll away. That's another perk of Callover Cafe's location. After grabbing your coffee, you can explore the Quay. There are views of the river, boats bobbing about, and public art to admire. Plus, if you love photography, the place has some cool spots for a quick snap.

Not too far away, there's the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre for those heading to a conference or show. Grabbing a cup from Callover before heading there just makes sense. It saves time and the quality of the coffee is leagues ahead of your usual event fare.

Back at Callover, the vibe is relaxed and suits anyone – workers, travelers, or those just looking for a good brew. Their soda options are also worth trying if you prefer something cold. The cafe seems to attract a mix of locals and tourists which makes for an interesting crowd.

For those who live in Perth, you'd know there's no shortage of coffee spots. What sets this cafe apart is the staff's dedication to quality and customer service. They really hustle to make sure the regulars and the newbies feel right at home. That, to me, is worth more than fancy interiors or over the top menus.

If you decide to take a walk to Kings Park to stretch your legs, a drink from Callover in hand might make it more enjoyable. The park is a bit of a trek, but totally doable if you're up for it. The trails and gardens there are wonderful, and outdoor lovers will appreciate the fresh air.

Then if you're arty, the Art Gallery of Western Australia is also not too far off. It's actually another great spot to swing by after grabbing a cup. They often have cool exhibits that are worth checking out, and it's a haven for anyone interested in local art.

All in all, Callover Cafe is an underrated gem in Perth's bustling coffee scene. It's a good fit whether you're just stopping by for a quick coffee or unwind with a full brunch. If you're in town, make it a point to try them out. You'll soon see why I keep coming back.
