Walking into The Coffee Grove feels like coming home, even on a busy day. Nestled in Peppermint Grove, it's a comforting spot many coffee lovers can't resist. The place has a welcoming atmosphere that grabs you the moment you step inside. What draws me in every time, apart from the coffee, is the laid-back vibe.

The shop's a decent size, with plenty of space to find a quiet corner or a bustling spot near the window. It's wheelchair friendly, offering accessible entrances and seating, which is great to see. The place caters to everyone, and I often spot a mix of locals and visitors. It adds to the warm and friendly air that makes me stay longer than planned.

The coffee here is top-notch. I'm talking about rich, smooth flavors that satisfy any coffee lover. It smells as heavenly as it tastes. Their baristas know their beans, a good sign for a spot like this. Whether you like a flat white or a robust espresso, you won't leave disappointed. It's the kind of coffee that sets your day on the right track.

And let's not forget the food. I'm a big fan of their brunch menu. It's simple, yet everything's cooked well. Whether I grab a quick pastry or settle in for some eggs on toast, the quality is always consistent. They offer takeaway too, so I sometimes nab a brownie on my way out. If you're a dog owner, you'll love this—pups are welcome here! Many times, I've shared a bench outside with happy panting companions. The outdoor seating's perfect for sunny days, with a great view of the street.

Free Wi-Fi is a plus. I see students and freelancers typing away on their laptops, fueled by caffeine and a good playlist. It's peaceful enough to be productive, but still lively. The Wi-Fi's good, and I never have issues connecting.

The Coffee Grove is not open all week, though. Hours are Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, which leaves weekends mostly off the chart. If you're planning a Saturday visit, make it between 10 am and 2 pm. It's closed on Sundays, a bit of a bummer for Sunday mopers like me needing a caffeine fix. Still, the times they're open, they make it count.

Beyond the café, Peppermint Grove itself is a charming suburb to wander around. It feels like a blend of the old and new, full of tree-lined streets and stunning homes. It's near Cottesloe Beach, so a trip to The Coffee Grove can easily end with a beach walk. Fresh sea air and good coffee? Can't beat that combination.

There are a few small shops nearby—boutiques and essential stores that make it easy to run errands or indulge in a little window shopping. Plus, it's near some lovely parks. After a caffeine fix, you can soak in nature's calm at Manners Hill Park or stroll around the nearby yacht club. This mix of scenery makes it ideal for both city lovers and nature buffs.

Transport is a breeze, with public buses making regular stops. And if you drive, there's accessible parking, which is always a relief. No dread of endless circles looking for a parking spot. This small detail saves more time for enjoying the coffee and less on pointless driving around.

The thing is, The Coffee Grove feels like a sweet little secret, tucked away but treasured by those who find it. This is one place I'm more than happy to lose track of time in, sipping a cappuccino or enjoying some quiet reading. The staff are friendly without being in your face, striking just the right balance for a cozy, welcoming feel.

It's more than just a coffee shop, really. In a way, it's a community hub. You can sense it from the comfort and familiarity among its patrons. That's what makes me come back—an oasis of calm in the hustle and bustle of daily life. So, if you find yourself in Peppermint Grove with time to spare, make a detour to The Coffee Grove. Just know you might end up planning another visit before you even leave.
