Write a ReviewI've spent a lot of time exploring coffee spots around Perth, and Caffissimo Cottesloe Central has become a regular stop on my list. This place is tucked away in the Cottesloe Central Shopping Centre, making it a convenient spot to grab a cup while running errands. Their coffee is locally roasted, which you can really taste in every sip. It's smooth, balanced, and just the right kick to start the day.
I go there mostly during the week when they're open from the early morning till late afternoon. It's especially perfect if you're looking to catch up on some work or enjoy a break. The Saturdays are a bit shorter since they close at 3 pm and they are closed on Sundays, which I found a bit surprising given how many people love their weekend coffee outings.
The ambiance is pretty laid-back, and I find the setup welcoming whether I'm solo or with friends. Plus, it's got wheelchair access everywhere — parking, entrance, even the seating. A friend of mine with mobility needs said it's the easiest café he's visited in terms of accessibility. So props to them for that.
For pet owners, they allow dogs, which is a bonus in my book. You can pop by with your furry buddy and enjoy your coffee without needing to leave them in the car. I've seen a few happy doggos lounging outside while their owners relax with a latte.
Their menu covers takeaway and dine-in, and you can also go for delivery if you're having a lazy day at home. The staff are friendly and pretty quick, even when it gets a bit busy. And for those like me who keep an eye on restroom availability, bathrooms are clean and easy to find within the shopping centre.
Beyond coffee, the location itself has its perks. Being in Cottesloe means you're close to one of Perth's most beautiful beaches. After grabbing a coffee, you can take a short drive to the shore and enjoy the view. The area around has its fair share of shops too. From fashion to groceries, you can almost spend a whole day just exploring Cottesloe Central and its vicinity. For a bit of culture, the Grove Library is nearby— a quiet spot if you love being surrounded by books.
One thing to keep in mind, Stirling Highway is a bit busy sometimes, especially during peak hours. But hey, that's typical for city spots. I just plan my visits to avoid the rush, which is usually not hard if you're a laid-back coffee seeker like me. I find mornings before work rush the best time, as the crowd hasn't poured in yet.
Parking is usually alright at the shopping centre. Even during the busy hours, I don't recall having much trouble finding a spot. Just watch out when schools get out, got busy once because of it.
Caffissimo, fairly priced for what you get. A regular flat white won't burn a hole in your pocket, and they do a mean hot chocolate if you're in the mood for something sweet. Their pastries and snacks go well with the drinks too; though it's not an extensive menu, it covers essentials nicely.
Considering the average rating, 4.6 stars out of 49 reviews, it seems I'm not the only one who enjoys what Caffissimo offers. Each visit feels like a little treat without pretense. They're reliable, and the quality is quite consistent.
Cottesloe and Peppermint Grove have plenty more to offer, but if coffee's what you're after, give Caffissimo Cottesloe Central a try. It's simple, cozy, and gets the caffeine job done well. After all, isn't that what most of us coffee lovers are looking for?
