Giant Coffee in Northbridge is one of my favorites. I've been to a lot of coffee spots around Perth, but this place stands out. It's tucked away on Nicks Lane, a bit hidden but worth finding. I popped in early on a weekday after hearing good buzz from a few friends. Right when you walk in, the aroma of fresh coffee hits you.

The vibe inside is chill and relaxed. There's a sort of warmth that welcomes you in right away. The seats are comfy, and there's plenty of space. They've got a neat setup for dining in, but if you're on the go, takeaway is quick and easy. They even have delivery if you can't make it out. Plus, it's a dog-friendly place, which is a bonus for pet lovers.

Their coffee menu is solid and straightforward, no fuss, just great taste. The baristas know their stuff, and they're always up for a chat if it's not too busy. A flat white here never disappoints. It's smooth, with the perfect blend of milk and coffee. On some days, I'll grab a cappuccino, which always has this nice frothy top.

For those early mornings, their open hours are a plus. Giant Coffee opens at 7 am on weekdays, which is perfect if you need a good kick-start. If you're planning a weekend visit, they open at 9 am, ideal for a slightly lazier start. Closing at 2 pm, they cover the morning and lunchtime crowd well.

Accessibility is a big tick here too. They have a wheelchair-accessible entrance and car park. The same goes for the toilets, which is thoughtful and inclusive.

If you're looking for other things to do around Northbridge, there's plenty nearby. The Perth Cultural Centre is not far, just a short stroll away. It has galleries, museums, and some cool street art. The Art Gallery of WA is a nice spot if you're into visual arts. After a coffee, I often wander over there for inspiration.

If you're hungry, there are heaps of food spots around. From multicultural eats to pubs serving classic Aussie grub. Northbridge is full of life, with something always happening just around the corner. Evenings transform the area. There are bars and nightlife spots, where you can catch live music now and then.

The laneways around the coffee shop are fun to explore after grabbing a cup. They host some unique boutique stores. There are vintage shops and more that are worth the look if you like discovering hidden gems. You can spend a whole morning doing this and not get bored.

One cool thing about Giant Coffee is how it's part of the community. You'll see locals coming in, some on their daily routine, some artists popping by, office workers taking a break, and people just catching up. It feels like a bit of Northbridge soul in a cup.

Their Instagram (@giantcoffee.au) has some drool-worthy coffee shots. Once you've visited, you'll probably end up visiting again. It's that kind of place that hooks you a bit. There's no flashy stuff, just pure quality.

It's smart they choose to keep things simple. The focus on great coffee and good service works. You don't need more than that really. Every sip here says they know what they're doing, and they do it well.

If you're a local or just in town, plan to stop by. It's that little nook you'll appreciate in Northbridge. And who knows, you might end up a regular like me.
