Stax Cafe in Midland is a bit of a hidden gem in Perth. Nestled on Spring Park Road, it's a delightful spot if you enjoy laid-back vibes. I love popping in for a cup of joe in the late morning. It feels like discovering a little secret every time. They have a pretty impressive menu for a place that's not super huge. If breakfast or brunch is your thing, you're in for a treat. After trying their avocado toast, it became my go-to order. The mix of spices and toppings kicks it up a notch and leaves you craving more.

Outside seating here is perfect for Perth's sunny days. It's dog-friendly, so you can bring your furry friend. I often see locals enjoying their meals with their pups lying nearby. The staff doesn't mind at all. It adds to the laid-back charm of the place. Parking is worry-free, especially with wheelchair-accessible spaces. It tells me they care about everyone who stops by.

Their coffee is consistently good, which is what I think keeps me returning. It's not just about a caffeine fix; it's about getting the day off to a great start. There's something special about sipping a quality latte in a space that feels so welcoming. That said, I wouldn't call myself a coffee snob, but I know good coffee when I taste it. Stax nails it every single time.

Stax Café opens bright and early at 6:30 am most days. Personally, this is ideal if you're an early bird or just trying to grab something before heading out for the day. The service is friendly, making you feel like a regular even if it's your first visit. The staff always seems genuinely pleased to see you, and that matters to me. It's a detail that elevates an average coffee run into something sincerely nice.

You can easily spot their Instagram-worthy servings on their social media page. They've got a knack for presentation, and let's be honest, we eat with our eyes first. The look pairs wonderfully with their deliciousness. It's no wonder they average a strong 4.6 star rating from reviews. If that doesn't speak to their quality, I don't know what does.

Situated around the corner from the Midland Gate Shopping Centre, it's easy to drop in before or after shopping. I usually wander around and explore the local shops whenever I'm here. The area has a few little treasures if you look closely. Sometimes, I just stroll around, window shopping at the nearby market stalls on weekends.

Oh, and if you're into history, the nearby Railway Workshops are worth a peek. They're a slice of WA's heritage and super cool if you're into old trains and stuff. Pair that with a good cup of coffee from Stax, and you've got quite the day out.

Now, if it's lunch you're after, they don't fall short there either. I've munched on their burgers a couple of times, and they're worth every dime. Coupled with crispy fries, and maybe a fresh juice, you leave with a full belly and a happy heart.

The best part? If you can't hang around, just take it to go. I've done that when pressed for time, and my takeaway order is always packed perfectly. There's no skimping on freshness.

People also often pop in with laptops, hinting it's an okay spot to get a bit of work done. I've heard they have delivery options too, but I've not tried that myself yet. Still, knowing you can enjoy their food at home is comforting.

It's nice knowing there are spots in the city still heavily local, focused on community and a great customer experience. Midland is lucky to have a place like this. It's convenient, genuine, and most importantly, keeps things simple. That's Stax Cafe for you, a little slice of Perth that's all about great coffee, tasty bites, and friendly voices. Worth a visit, for real.
