Write a ReviewI find myself at Babylon Cafe quite often, nestled in the heart of Leederville. This spot has become one of my favorite coffee hideouts in Perth. Their coffee never disappoints, consistently smooth and full of flavor. It's the kind of place where the baristas know exactly how you like your brew, and they remember your name, which is always a nice touch.
The vibe at Babylon is laid-back and welcoming. Whether you're grabbing a quick takeaway or settling in for a good read, it feels just right. I often see a mix of young professionals, students with their laptops, and locals catching up over coffee. It's dog-friendly too, so don't be surprised to see a few four-legged friends lounging in the outdoor seating area with their owners.
Speaking of seating, they've got plenty of options. Indoors, you'll find cozy spots perfect for a quiet morning. Outside, there's a lively energy thanks to the mix of regulars and new faces. On a day with good weather, I always choose to sit out. Wi-Fi is reliable and free, making it an ideal place to work or browse.
I also appreciate the accessibility here. There's a wheelchair-accessible entrance and seating, which makes it inclusive for everyone. It's a small but important detail that says a lot about the place.
When it comes to food, Babylon has a nice selection of bites. The avocado toast is a solid choice, always fresh and garnished just enough to keep things interesting. Their pastries disappear quickly, a testament to their popularity. I've yet to try anything here that didn't make my taste buds happy.
Leederville is a fantastic area with lots to do. Just a short stroll from Babylon, you'll find Luna Palace Cinemas, an iconic spot to catch the latest films. On weekends, the area buzzes with activity, with local markets and street performers adding to the lively atmosphere.
If you're up for a bit of shopping, Oxford Street is nearby and lined with unique boutiques and gift shops. It's great for finding something special, whether it's a gift or a treat for yourself. And for book lovers, the nearby bookstore is a treasure trove worth exploring.
Back to Babylon, they open early on most days, from 6:30 am, which works perfectly for morning risers like me. Weekends they slightly change their hours, opening at 7:30 am on Saturdays. It's closed on Sundays, which is a bit of a bummer if you're in the habit of Sunday coffee runs. But hey, everyone needs a day to rest, right?
The cafe also connects through its Facebook page, where they post updates and photos. It's a good way to stay in the loop if you're curious about any new offerings. Their phone number is easy to find if you ever have questions or need to make an inquiry.
I find that the close-knit feel of Leederville is mirrored in Babylon. There's a strong community vibe, and it's clear they care about their patrons. With an average rating of 4.7 from over 200 reviews, it's not just me who thinks highly of them. People rave about the service, quality, and the friendly atmosphere.
As someone who frequents many coffee spots, I can say Babylon has carved out its place on my list. For anyone exploring Perth or locals who haven't yet ventured into Leederville, it's a spot worth checking out. With great coffee, a comfortable setting, and a bustling neighborhood around it, Babylon Cafe might just win you over too.
