Kokomo's Livid Skate Cafe is one of my favorite spots in Fremantle. It's got this chill vibe that pulls you in and lets you relax. The cafe is tucked away on William Street, making it a bit of a hidden gem for both locals and visitors. I've been going here for a while and each visit never fails to bring some surprises.

The coffee here hits the mark. Rich, full-bodied, and worth every cent. They know how to brew a good cup. Whether it's a flat white or a long black, they nail it every time. It's the kind of place where the coffee not only tastes great but also smells amazing as soon as you walk in. The staff, friendly and always welcoming, adds to the warm atmosphere. They're quick to chat and recommend what's good for the day.

What really stands out is the mix of a cafe and a skate shop. The blend gives Kokomo's a unique flair and draws a diverse crowd. You have coffee lovers sharing a space with skate enthusiasts, and it all works in harmony. It's not every day you come across such a fusion. It's fun to see some cool skate gear while sipping a cappuccino.

Their brunch menu is solid and well-priced. From bacon and eggs to avocado toast, the classics are done right. There's a good range of choices to cater to different tastes. If you're feeling adventurous, try their daily specials. They mix things up often, so there's always something new on the table. Plus, the portions are satisfying enough to keep you full through a busy day.

The cafe's Wi-Fi is a handy perk. I've managed to get some work done here while enjoying my brew. If you're like me and need an occasional work-from-cafe day, Kokomo's is a great pick. There's a nice mix of seating options too, with both indoor and outdoor spots available. The outdoor seating is particularly nice on a sunny day, and the inside feels cozy and inviting when it's raining.

Parking is free and easy, with a wheelchair-accessible lot. This makes the cafe easily reachable for everyone. They've really thought about accessibility here. There's a welcoming feeling to see their efforts accommodating all. The entrance, toilets, and seating are all designed to be wheelchair-friendly, which is really nice.

If you bring your pooch, they're allowed to hang out with you outside. It's great for dog owners looking for a place to relax and still keep their furry friends close. The staff even has water bowls ready, which shows their thoughtful touch.

Whenever I'm at Kokomo's, I'm amazed by how laid-back it feels despite being in one of Fremantle's bustling areas. It's just down the way from the Fremantle Markets, a staple for anything from fresh produce to quirky trinkets. After grabbing a coffee, you can wander over and explore the stalls if you have time.

Just around the corner, the Fremantle Prison offers an intriguing look into history. The tours are educational and a bit eerie but worth it for history buffs. Then there's the iconic Cappuccino Strip, perfect for a leisurely stroll or more exploration of other local cafes.

Plus, there's the Esplanade Park, not too far away. On sunny days, this is the spot to relax on the grass or join in on some local events. At night, the area comes alive, with music and performances doubling down on the eclectic vibe Fremantle is famous for. And if you're into art, the Fremantle Arts Centre is a beautiful place to explore art galleries and local exhibitions.

Kokomo's late-night hours on Fridays and Saturdays make it a perfect stop for night owls. The bar on site ensures you're not short on options for winding down your evening. Whether you're coming by for a few drinks after work or kicking off a night out, it's a good choice. It's hard not to get drawn into the lively late-night atmosphere they have going on.

I always appreciate a place that not only serves great coffee and food but also creates a community feel. Kokomo's Livid Skate Cafe hits that balance just right. It's easy to see why people keep coming back. It's the kind of place you might just want to keep to yourself but can't help sharing with friends. Whether you're a local or just visiting, swing by and enjoy all it has to offer. You won't be disappointed.
