I love spending my mornings at Marmalade Cafe in Duncraig. It's tucked away in a quieter part of Perth, close enough to the main spots but far enough to feel relaxed. The cafe has these big windows that let in a lot of light, which is pretty nice on those chillier mornings. Their hours are super convenient too, opening up bright and early at 6 am. Great spot for those who wake up with the sun. Whether it's a lazy Sunday or a rushed weekday, they stick to that same schedule every day.

They've got this laid-back vibe that suits the area perfectly. You can't beat the atmosphere if you just want to hang out, maybe catch up with a friend or simply people-watch while sipping on a cappuccino. The soothing hum of conversation mixed with gentle music from their playlist makes it ideal for unwinding. Especially if you're around on a lazy Saturday.

What stands out about Marmalade Cafe is how they've made their place so welcoming for everyone. Accessibility is a big plus here. There's a wheelchair-accessible car park and seating, making it easy for anyone who might need those facilities. This is something you don't see everywhere, but it's really appreciated.

Plus, dogs are welcome too, which is perfect if you're the kind who can't quite leave the pup at home. There's usually a couple of dogs chilling outside, keeping their owners company. I find it's a nice touch and just adds to that community feel the place has.

Their coffee, I've found, is reliably good. I'm pretty picky with my brews, and they have yet to disappoint. Whether you're into espressos or prefer something more frothy, they've got you covered. It might not be the absolute top-notch spot for coffee in Perth, but it does the job well enough for my taste buds.

On the food front, this place shines with a good brunch menu. If you're into avocado on toast, they've got a tasty version of that. Fresh ingredients and decent portions, nothing too fancy but satisfying. Their sweets are quite tempting as well. Occasionally, I can't resist getting one of their muffins or maybe a slice of carrot cake.

The place itself is cozy, but there's enough room to find a spot without feeling cramped. It can get busy, especially around brunch time on weekends, but usually, the turnover isn't too bad. Just the peak times you might expect when everyone's in the mood for a coffee break.

For those who like a takeaway option, Marmalade Cafe has got you sorted. Whether you're grabbing breakfast before heading to the office or picking something up on your way home, it's great for that. It's nice not having to lose time sitting down if you've got places to be.

Outside the cafe, Duncraig is actually surrounded by a few nice spots to check out. Carine Glades Shopping Centre isn't far at all, just down the road really. If you need to do a bit of shopping or run some errands, it's super convenient.

Local parks are also scattered around this area. So if you're in the mood for a bit of nature, you can easily grab your coffee to go and find a nice spot outside to relax. The mix of quiet suburban streets with patches of greenery is a strong point of Duncraig. It's worth wandering around if you've got the time.

Being in Perth, you never feel far from the coast, and Duncraig is no exception. Sunrise Beach isn't too far, making it feasible to grab a coffee then head over for some beach time. If you're up early, it could make for a pretty sweet morning combo.

Overall, Marmalade Cafe is a solid spot for caffeine lovers and brunch enthusiasts alike. It's one of those places where you find a mix of locals and curious wanderers, each enjoying the casual atmosphere. I've been here more times than I can count, and it feels like a little slice of Perth's coffee culture tucked away in its own corner. If you find yourself in this part of town, it's worth giving it a shot.
