I frequent coffee spots in Perth and recently checked out Zarraffa's Coffee in Clarkson. It's tucked at the corner of Ocean Keys Boulevard and Marmion Avenue. This spot is laid-back yet buzzing, with people popping in all day. Zarraffa's has the charm of a local joint but with a bit of the chain's polish. The space feels warm and inviting, perfect for lingering over a cup of joe or grabbing a quick takeaway. I like how their setup caters to nearly everyone with a welcoming spirit and the charm of the staff.

The drink selection here is top-notch, and they know what a good coffee should taste like. Signature blends stand out, and they hit the spot every single time. I usually get their regular flat white, and it's consistently tasty and strong. One time, I tried the Mocha Fusion because someone recommended it. You should give it a shot if you're into sweeter drinks. It's rich without overwhelming your palate. Don't miss their iced drinks when it's hot out; they keep them sweet but not sickly.

Accessibility is a big deal here, which is the right move. The car park is wheelchair accessible, and the entrance is the same. There's seating inside that won't be a hassle for anyone using a wheelchair, and they also offer a toilet that's disability-friendly. The staff here seem genuinely happy to see all their customers, and that warmth rubs off on you.

If you've got your dog with you, that's no problem. They're cool with dogs lounging outside while you catch up with mates inside or grab your stuff to go. On top of that, the joint has free Wi-Fi. It's fast enough that I find it perfect for catching up on emails or just scrolling while sipping a cappuccino. The Wi-Fi signal is steady. It doesn't drop as much as other places in town, which is a bonus when trying to get some work done.

This spot stays open from as early as 5 in the morning on most days. So, if you're an early riser like me, you can enjoy your coffee fresh and hot before heading to work. But if you're more of a night owl, they're open until 8 pm. Sunday's the exception, when they call it a day earlier, around 6 pm.

I've noticed families and solo folks alike lingering around, enjoying the coffee and laid-back vibe. There's a drive-through for those who are in a hurry. It's quick and efficient for those busy mornings or when the kids are strapped in the back seat. Drive-through orders come out just as good as the dine-in drinks, so you don't miss out on quality if you're just stopping by.

Their food selection matches the coffee's level. Pastries, sandwiches, and other snacks line up nicely with their drinks. The muffins are especially good, worth trying if you're peckish. Breakfast bits are served until late in the morning, which is a win if you're one for a sleep-in. Options are plenty, so no need to worry if you're a picky eater or have a sweet tooth.

Beyond the coffee shop itself, Clarkson is a nice area. Just a skip away, you've got Ocean Keys Shopping Centre. It's where I stroll around looking at shops after a cup or two. Plenty of other activities around can fill your day or help you wind down. There's a cinema nearby for movie enthusiasts or wannabe cinema critics. The environment is a relaxed, suburban spot with a gentle pace that's easy to soak in.

But really, Zarraffa's is a standout in this part of Perth. It's both a community hub and a refuge for those who need a place to breathe and enjoy their coffee. Their slogan might be "down-home," but it feels right at home in our bustling modern life too. Given all the pluses, from the coffee to convenience and location, it's a top choice for anyone nearby. Try it, even if just for the friendly staff, and you might find yourself wanting to come back real soon.
